Katie Pollman
Research Manager
Katie Pollman joined Memphis Education Fund as an Education Pioneer Fellow in 2021. Prior to working as a fellow, she worked for four years on a Randomized Control Trial (RCT) in Uganda, studying the importance of mother-tongue literacy instruction in the early grades. Katie has a Master’s degree in Global Affairs from the Schwarzman College program at Tsinghua University.
As Research Manager at MEF, she strives to make data accessible and interesting to everyone and is always looking for feedback and thought partners, so don’t hesitate to reach out! Katie grew up in a small town in southern Illinois and enjoys the “small town within a city” feel that Memphis offers. Outside work, she loves spending time with the fantastic young people at the Refugee Empowerment Program, going to estate sales, taking on more houseplants than she has time for, and going on bike rides.
