The Breaking Barriers Award honors Memphis public schools that achieve exceptional academic outcomes while serving our community’s most underserved students. Each year, Memphis Education Fund recognizes schools where at least 50% of students are economically disadvantaged – and where combined Math and ELA proficiency on the TCAP/TN Ready assessment ranks among the highest in our city.
